YWCA Princeton is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We take a Stand Against Racism every day by raising awareness about the impact of institutional and structural racism and by building community among those who work for racial justice.
Founded by YWCA Trenton and YWCA Princeton in 2007, Stand Against Racism quickly grew to a national presence by 2010, when an additional 80 YWCA local associations across the nation participated. The campaign has changed and evolved but the work at its core remains the same: we know that we cannot empower all women without confronting systemic racism.
Join us on Thursday April 24th at 6:30 pm for YWCA Princeton’s annual Stand Against Racism. This event will feature dynamic performances and inspiring speakers, including youth leaders and activists who will share their vision for a more just and inclusive future. Stand Against Racism is open to the public, and we strongly encourage individuals, families, and local organizations to come out, show solidarity, and raise their voices in support of racial justice, let’s come together to make a statement and take action toward a more equitable society. Walk for Equity and Until Justice Just Is prizes will be awarded at this event.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT, REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
