Proceeds from this event benefit our Pearl Bates Scholarship Fund which helps children and families access childcare and summer programs at the YWCA Princeton. Currently, more than 41% of children enrolled in The Burke Foundation Early Childhood Center at YWCA Princeton receive some form of financial aid. Early Childhood Education is crucial for long term student engagement, and we are proud to offer an award-winning curriculum.
10 Things to Know for Race Day:
We cannot wait to see you on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 ~ Race at 6 PM!
Our Firecracker 5K is at ETS (660 Rosedale Rd).
Follow the signs to park in the Anrig Hall Parking lot.
The course will be clearly marked but see below to familiarize yourself with the race!
Registration opens at 5:00 pm. Registration will be in front of Conant Hall off of ETS drive. Make sure to get your bib and your t-shirt.
We will have a 50/50 to help raise critical funds for the Pearl Bates Scholarship Fund. Please bring cash and you could win BIG! (2 for $5; 5 for $10; or 12 for $20)
There will be a 50-yard dash for all children ages 10 and under. Please meet at the finish line by 5:40 pm. A parent or guardian will have to sign a waiver before the race!
We will have an award ceremony starting at 6:45 pm. There will be awards for the top three male and female runners, along with the top male and female runners in 16 different age groups. Please grab some water and food and head toward Conant Hall after the race.
There will be food trucks! Please plan to stay for dinner and dessert.
Kids can enjoy yard games during the race and can win some fun prizes. There will be volunteers, but kids must be supervised by an adult during the race.

What? Run or walk a 5K trail through the beautiful ETS campus, kids can enjoy a 50 yard dash, lawn games, and prizes. A fun summer event complete with a DJ and food trucks! Prizes will be awarded to the Top Women & Men Finishers.
When? Wednesday, June 26th 6 PM
Registration begins at 5:00 PM and the 5K begins at 6:00 PM
Where? Educational Testing Service (ETS) campus located at 660 Rosedale Road, Princeton. Please use entrance on Carter Rd. Parking is the first road on left (Research Rd) by the cafeteria.

Early registration ($40) ends on June 25th, 2024. Online registration will shut down as of 10:00 PM on June 25, 2024. Race day registration ($45) will be available at 5:00 PM, one hour prior to the start of the race at ETS.

T-shirts: Participant t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed if registered after the June 5th. Distribution will be at the Firecracker 5K location only. T-shirts will not be mailed.
Runners must be at least 5 years old as of race date.
Run is rain or shine, and only in the event of emergency weather the run will be cancelled.
