Feminist Book Club
This group brings members of the Princeton community together to read, analyze, and chat about contemporary feminist texts through the lens of five topics: creation, care, computation, climate, and community. We'll also get meta and explore the fascinating literary and cultural history of book discussion groups, which have long served as spaces where women and other marginalized groups have found connection, fostered discoveries about themselves and others, and kindled political and social activism. Check out the booklist for this series to find out what we'll be reading at each meeting.
We welcome women–trans and cis–and non-binary and gender non-conforming folks, as well as allies of all genders.
For this meeting the group will read Katherine May's "Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times." Copies of the book have been made available for borrowing from the library.
This booklist shows the titles to be read for the first meeting on October 21 and the second meeting on Dec. 9, as well as further titles under consideration for the group.
