YWCA Princeton is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
In 2022, the YWCA Princeton celebrated our Centennial and committed to being mission forward, with an unwavering resolve as we know that to shape a society defined by peace and justice, we must tackle racial and gender inequities with unmatched vigor and focus. In the face of a changing worlds, YWCA Princeton has not merely weather the storm; we’ve emerged stronger. Our journey over the past three years has been marked by triumphs as one united YWCA.
As we gave into the future we have listened to the voices of the community — donors, partners, parents, volunteers, and staff. In assessing our impact on the local community and the broader landscape of social justice, we’ve witnessed an increased need to forge ahead despite pressures to retreat. Our stakeholders have affirmed our mission and illuminated new opportunities to deepen our impact and expand our reach.
In this audacious pursuit, we declare our vision to be trailblazers in Central New Jersey and beyond — transforming society one woman, one child, one family, one institution, and one community at a time. Our commitment is flued by the understanding that, as providers of direct services, empowerment programs, and advocacy, we are compelled to challenge structural barriers to equity.
Guided by this vision, our priorities are not passive; they signify active and intentional action. Our success hinges on our financial health and strategic relationships. Our robust financial foundation, built through committed donors, a healthy endowment, government contracts, and strategic partnerships, has steered us through unprecedented times.
However, as costs rise and the job market remains competitive, we aspire not just to pursue our mission but to be strategic accelerators for growth and impact. Our goal is operational efficiency, scalability, and sustainability — to attract, develop, and retain highly-qualified professionals committed to delivering the highest caliber of services and impact.
We stand proud having emerged stronger from the challenges we’ve faces, with our eyes on the im[act we’ve yet to achieve. Our confidence is unapologetic, and we welcome you to join us on this journey toward a more equitable future — a future where opportunities abound for all to thrive and reach their fullest potential.

Employee experience and organizational culture are at the core of our ability to amplify our mission and effectively serve our community. Therefore, we will systematically engage in assessing employee experience an organizational culture; developing and implementing strategies that center equity and psychological safety; creating opportunities for ongoing professional development; and exhibiting excellence in leadership and the highest level of performance throughout the organization. Furthermore, we will regularly assess the effectiveness of these strategies.

YWCA Princeton needs replenishable sources of funding to do its work. It also needs a solid team to spearhead its fundraising efforts. Focusing on the development of financial strategy and building of the development team to implement the strategy will ensure financial sustainability. Financial sustainability is mission sustainability.
