Quality Child Care and Preschool

YWCA supports improving access to quality, affordable, and accessible early childhood care and education. In fact, our childcare fees are between 14% - 24% lower than other local childcare providers.

Our childcare facility located in downtown Princeton is dedicated to early childhood education for children eight weeks to six years old. If your child is between 12 and 20 months, an in-person or virtual meeting with the center directors is required to ensure your child is placed in the appropriate classroom. Our center offers bilingual classrooms and is licensed by State of New jersey Department of Children and Families. Teachers and staff communicate with families throughout the day through ClassDojo and each classroom has a phone for direct communication. We use Creative Curriculum for our infants, toddlers, and two. Our Pre-K students use Learning Without Tears, a teaching curriculum that prepares students for kindergarten in a way that is developmentally appropriate and Fun! Learning Without Tears is also used by Princeton Public Schools. We also offer parenting workshops and anti-bullying initiatives throughout the year, parent-teacher conferences, and school picture days.

The Burke Foundation Early Childhood Center at YWCA Princeton is open Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. Full and partial day childcare is available, and we are proud to offer after care from 3:30 - 6:00 pm for children ages 3 - 6 years old.
