Registration for the YWCA Princeton Tiger Camp Reunion Program starts February 1, 2017.
YWCA Princeton Tiger Camp Reunion
The YWCA Princeton proudly provides child care for the annual Princeton University Alumni Reunions two evenings so you can enjoy your classmates and reunion celebrations. The YWCA Princeton Tiger Camp Reunion provides your child with lots of activities in a safe, fun, caring environment!
Tiger Camp welcomes children 3 months to 12 years of age to our two-night childcare program designed to offer a safe, fun, enriching, and caring environment while their parents are enjoying the reunion festivities. Campers are grouped by age at three on-campus sites, where experienced childcare providers will supervise them. The YWCA Princeton Tiger Camp staff is CPR and First Aid trained. They must pass a thorough screening process, which includes criminal background and reference checks, as well as six hour childcare training. The training covers, but not limited to, security issues, food allergies, developmental teaching, emergency procedures, recreational games and activities. We also maintain an age-appropriate staff to children ratio throughout the event.
Campers will be entertained throughout the weekend with games, movies, arts and crafts, and carnival fun. Parents are welcome to drop in at any time to join the activities and/or visit with their children. While under our care, parents can take their child(ren) out of Tiger Camp at any time, but for safety reasons they MUST sign them in and out.
Healthy snacks are provided throughout the program as well as dinner served on both nights. Parents are free to bring alternative meals for their children. Parents will be asked to include any special needs or allergy information about their child(ren) on the registration form, and are welcome to drop in to the program to administer any necessary medication. The YWCA Princeton Tiger Camp staff is NOT allowed to administer any medication to campers.
Infants and up to 36 months will be located upstairs of the Nassau Presbyterian Church. Campers will enjoy a spacious and comfortable setting with padded floors. The YWCA Princeton Tiger Camp will provide cribs, high chairs, rocking chairs and toys, though parents should bring along a favorite toy, blanket, or comforting item for their campers. Parents are responsible for diapers, wet wipes, an extra change of clothing, and baby food for infants, with instructions on feeding habits and times. Finger food and healthy snacks are provided for the older campers.
Because of the 2 to 1 staff ratio for this age group and the equipment involved, enrollment is limited and on a first-come first-served basis, so parents should register as soon as possible.
Preschoolers (ages 3-5) will be located downstairs classrooms of the Nassau Presbyterian Church. Campers will be entertained with musical games, movies, outdoor play, and arts and crafts. Parents are advised to bring a favorite stuffed animal or blanket and a change of clothes.
School Age Campers will be located at the Nassau Presbyterian Church. Campers will be in a spacious area where there will be room for large group games and areas set up for crafts, board games and other activities, and movies.
For further information, please call the YWCA Princeton at 609-497-2100 ext. 327. Detailed activity schedule will be posted as soon as it is available.
